Who should take the CIFS WHMIS Course?

Find out who needs CIFS WHMIS certification - and which workplaces require this.

Updated this week

The CIFS WHMIS Course is for anyone who works with or around hazardous products.

This includes employees and supervisors who handle, use, store, or may be exposed to hazardous materials in the workplace - regardless of whether they’re full-time, part-time, temporary, or contract workers.

WHMIS education is required in a wide range of industries and settings, including restaurants, cafés, and fast food outlets, hospitals and care facilities, food manufacturing or processing sites, schools, colleges, and other educational institutions, and many more.

If your job involves chemicals or potentially harmful substances, WHMIS education isn’t just helpful - it’s mandatory.

Visit the WHMIS Course page to learn more.
